Let’s talk about Analytics and Visualize the data for decision making: using Power BI
In this session, we are going first to have a table talk with Leila and Indira about career development as a data analytics, data engineer, and data science, what they need, and what skills we need to know.
After that, we have a hands-on lab for working with Power BI, extracting data from a data source, then clean it and visualize it to show the current situation of the data better.

Leila Etaati
Leila is the first Microsoft AI MVP in New Zealand and Australia. She has Ph.D. in Information System from the University Of Auckland. She is the Co-director and data scientist in RADACAD Company with more than 100 clients around the world. She is the co-organizer of Microsoft Business Intelligence and Power BI Use group (meetup) in Auckland with more than 1200 members as well as the co-organizer of three main conferences in Auckland: SQL Saturday Auckland (2015 till now) with more than 400 registrations, Difinity (2017 till now) with more than 200 registrations and Global AI Bootcamp 2018.
She is a Data Scientist, BI Consultant, Trainer, and a well-known International Speaker to many conferences such as Microsoft ignite, SQL pass, Data Platform Summit, SQL Saturday, Power BI World Tour and so forth in Europe, USA, Asia, Australia, and New Zealand. She has over ten years' experience working with databases and software systems and was involved in many large-scale projects for big-sized companies. Leila is an active Technical Microsoft AI blogger for RADACAD.
Indira Bandari
Indira is a highly skilled and talented professional with over 15 years experience in IT. Indira has been the recipient of the Microsoft 'Most Valuable Professional' award in 2019 and 2020 along with multiple awards for academic achievement. She has extensive experience using analytical tools, especially Power BI, Tableau and SAP Business Objects along with statistical analysis tools such as SAS and programming knowledge in R, Python and SQL. She has working knowledge in the Azure suite.
Indira has recent professional experience in technical leadership positions, with specialist experience in Business Intelligence and Data and Analytics consultancy across multiple industries.
Owen Auger
Owen specialises in data modelling and visualization with Power BI, as well as financial modelling.
He is currently a consultant at Agile Analytics and has worked previously in analytics and finance roles at Fonterra and Contact Energy. He was a finalist at the 2014 Financial Modelling World Championships in New York City. He has a particular interest in using Power BI and related tools to improve efficiency of reporting and analysis among finance business users. Owen is a CFA Charterholder and holds a master's degree in Operations Research.
Sudhir works as Cloud Solution Architect. He spent 14 years in industry and involved in various activities like development, consulting, troubleshooting and speaking. He works extensively on Data and AI platform. He worked with enterpise, strategic customer and startup to help them not only with solution architecture but also code with them. He delivered talk in various conferences on various topics like BI, Big Data, IOT and AI. He delivered talk on Hadoop performance in SQL PASS, Seattle. He also delivered sessions on another platform like Microsoft Tech-ed INDIA, Microsoft Azure Conference, Great INDIA Developer Summit, SQL Server Annual Summit, Reboot (MVP) etc. His certification includes Azure Data Scientist Associate, Azure AI Engineer Associate, Azure Data Engineer Associate, MCITP, MCTS, MCT, MCPS and MS. He author a book on Azure Data.
