A joint event with Vend, held on 26th April, taught the women about real-world that Vend solves. They also shared their why, why they do the things they do and how they do. We also heard from Jade, Joanna and Novia, some of the senior women from product, design and engineering. The event also gave the attendees to work on a problem which simulated the Challenges faced in a real world scenario.

Novia started as a tech grad in ASB’s Future Me graduate programme before becoming a Project Coordinator working on tech and compliance projects for the bank. After a year off travelling she now wrangles Vend’s Product team.

Jade fuels the collaboration of the product design team with other cross-functional units, and drives the design of Vend’s suite of products that help businesses around the world run the best retail. Ask her anything about the art and science in product design, the business behind user experience, and the case for why we need better door designs everywhere we go.

Joanna started her engineering life at Vend as a post-grad intern 4 years ago after graduating from The University of Auckland. She has worked in different teams and her hands have reached across various applications of Vend. Ask her anything about how engineers solve problems and collaborate with our designers & product team.
