SHE# – UX DESIGN with IBM
Networking with women in industry, learning more about IBM and exploring UX design.
SheSharp joined with IBM for an awesome event that gave women the opportuniy to connect with lots of industry professionals. We had a guest speaker from IBM tell us about her story and journey to project management with IBM. We also had a hands-on session all about User Experience in app development.

Amal Shawani graduated from the University of Auckland in 2007 with a BSc/BCom in Computer Science (BCs) and Information Systems (BCom). She joined IBM as a Graduate Consultant in 2007 and has held many roles including System Integration Test Analyst, Billing Defect Manager, Billing Systems Test Analyst, Deployment Manager and Project Manager for application development and maintenance. Amal is currently managing a very large project for Counties Manukau Health to establish a set of projects that would be delivered over the next 4 years to improve the Healthcare and Patient Management systems for the District Health Board.
